On Saturday 30 May, Groningen's city centre is fully dedicated to Lutje Lokale Zaterdag. With 'Experience Local!' as the theme, local entrepreneurs celebrate together with visitors, customers and Stadjers everything that makes local shopping, dining and discovery so special.
Here's what you can expect during Lutje Lokale Zaterdag:
- * Thank-yous & surprises at more than 100 Lutje Lokale Entrepreneurs. Each entrepreneur thanks you in their own way for supporting local entrepreneurial Groningen. Step inside and experience local!
- * Walk your own Lutje Lokale Route! Easily put together your personal route along all your favourite (or soon-to-be favourite) Lutje Lokale Entrepreneurs. Below you'll read how to create your route.
- * Collaboration with ArtOranje. At all Lutje Lokale Entrepreneurs, free children's tickets are available for the ArtOranje art fair on 6 & 7 June.
- * Collaboration with Forum Groningen around the new Marilyn Monroe exhibition. On Saturday 30 May, visitors benefit from a special 1+1 free offer for the exhibition at participating Lutje Lokale Entrepreneurs.
- * Extra atmosphere and entertainment in the city centre. 't Looporkest will parade musically through the city and the Lotus Ladies on stilts provide a festive and colourful experience.
Walk your personal local route!
New! Visitors, Stadjers and loyal customers can now easily put together their own personal route along their favourite entrepreneurs in the city via the Lutje Lokaal website. Discover new places, plan your ideal day in Groningen and experience local your way!
Choose your favourite Lutje entrepreneurs, mark them as favourites and easily map out a route. Visitors can determine the order themselves or choose the 'smart sort' option. The route can then be opened directly in Google Maps or shared with friends and family.
This day is all about discovering, experiencing and connecting. Walk through the city, visit multiple entrepreneurs, let yourself be surprised and experience how lively, hospitable and unique local Groningen is.

Choose a theme in the Lutje Lokale City Guide or on our website that suits you and let yourself be surprised by all the treasures the city has to offer.
